Kumeroa.
(An occasional correspondent). Asocial and dance to Mr and Mrs R. M. Carlisle was hold in the Kumeroa Hall on Wednesday evening. There was a very largo attendance, and everybody' enjoyed the affair thoroughly'. The music throughout the evening was contributioual, and songs Were given by Misses Gray and Lozell, and Messrs Main and Halford. During an interval in the proceedings Mr Main, on behalf of the residents of Kumeroa and district presented Mr nud Mrs Carlisle with a handsome marble clock as a token of the great esteem and regard in which they' are held. Mr Pattison also said a few words in token of appreciation after which Mr Carlisle feelingly responded. A sumptuous supper was provided, after which dancing was resumed and continued till the small hours. Mr Chris. Drager was a most efficient M.C.
