Fleming was among those who divided the prize money, and in the Sweepstake he and Mr G. R. King divided with Mr 0. Chevannes. The Woodville Juniors were defeated on Wednesday by Dannevirke by 3 to nil. Bly, one of the Woodville players rather severely strained himself but is we le&rn alright again. , The classes for instruction of noncommissioned officers, which have been conducted by Colonel Owen at Woodville once a week for the last few months, and which have been regularly attended by several non-coms., came to a conclusion last Wednesday and the examination was commenced.

The weather, which has been about as bad as it could be for some days, reached a climax of badness yesterday morning when there was a particularly heavy hailstorm. The hail descended with terrific force. The weather commenced to clear then, and this morning there was a crisp frost and brilliant sunshine.
