AS IN A MIRROR.
“I sec the scoundrel in your face,” exclaimed the angry man.
“That,” said the other, calmly, “is a personal reflection.” When the angry man had figured this out he was angrier than ever.
JUST TOOK IT.
“I think I’ve earned a kiss,” he said, The lights burned low, the hour was late. She whispered, with averted head, “Tis not worth while to arbitrate.”
Lawyer (examining witness); “Where was your maid at the time?” Lady; “In my boidoir, airanging my
hair.” Lawyer: “And were you there also?” Lady (indignantly): “Sir !”
