Accident at Pongaroa.
[by telegraph]. (From our own Correspondent). Makue( Friday. A terrible accident happened to a young fellow named M organ (or Monighan) yesterday. He was out bush felling at Pongaroa when a falling tree struck him across the thigh, smashing it in. He lay insensible for 12 hours before he was discovered, His comrades conveyed him to Ma!>uri, about 2Q of them taking it in turns to carry him. At Malum a conveyance was obtained and the unfortunate sufferer was taken out to Pahiatua, from whence ho was eon* veyed to the Masterton Hospital.
