The Butler Horrors.

Sydney, January 25. The inquest on the body of Burgess, which was found last week on the Black Ranges, near Parks,' has been adjourned till Wednesday. Several witnesses who saw and talked with Butler and Burgess while they were prospecting have, positively identified the body as that of Burgess by the clothing and the peculiar formation of the teeth. One witness produced a book given to him by Butler, and inscribed, “Frank B. Harwood.” A road maintenance man talking to Butler said be would not find : gold at the place they were prospecting, whereupon Butler grew indignant, and said he knew better. While Butler was absent Burgess - asked the man not to take any notice of Butler, as he was a queer fellow, and did not say much, but thought a lot. He also told the man that Butler was a mining expert, partly paid by the Government, and partly by a Sydney syndicate, and if he struck a good thing it would better for them all,
