Maharahara Road Board.

The Board met on Saturday. Present: —Messrs Chadwick, (Chair) Smith and Goldfinch. CORRESPONDENCE. From Treasury, stating that £44 Os Gd bad been placed to the credit of the Board for subsidy on rates. From Lands Department, submitting thirds for allocation amounting to £74 12s 2d. GENERAL. Tenders were dealt with as follows : Stumping Kearney’s Road—W. Monk. 12s 6d per chain ; T. W. Graham, 9s 4d ; J. Holler & Co., 9s; W. Ware, 8s 6d; J. Kearney, 7s lOd, (accepted). Fixing culvert, Granger’s Road— W- Monk, £6 lump sum, (accepted). It was decided to collect all special rates and to have culvert in front of A. Barnett’s altered to carry off the water better. Accounts to the amount of £24 12s 8d were passed for payment.
