The Drill Hall.

Mr C. Hall, writes to tire Mayor : “ Sib, —I have asked the HonPremier what they intended to do with the Drill Shed, as it required repairing,, and unless done it would soon he in a condition which would require a much larger sum to put it right. He replied they would be willing to lease it, or they could pass an Act to sell it. “ Now, as I have been spoken to on all sides about the preservation of this shed, I would ask the Borough Council what course they would prefer. The Government will lease it to the Council or sell it. “ I asked the Premier to vest it in the Council, but this he would not agree to do. I should be glad of an early reply in order that some action may be taken.—lam, &c., “ C. Hall.”
