Two Shocking Tragedies.
London, August 10, A tragedy is reported from Masefield,where a widow named Keynolds with two sons and a grandson were murdered by Wright, a lodger. The woman was horribly mutilated. Wright attempted to commit suicide after setting fire to the cottage. No motive is known for the crime. Syi ney, August 12. A melancholy suicide has occurred near Cordabalan. A young married woman, aged 19, hanged herself. The husband on learning of his wife’s suicide, utilised the same rope and killed himself. The affair took place during the temporary absence of relations.
