Present—Boys, 21; girls, 17. Total, 38. In Standards—Boys, 17; ghis, 12. • Total, 20. Remarks.—Commendable progress has been made by the Standard pupils attending this school during the past year. The numbers belonging have largely increased, and the results show that careful and systematic teaching has been carried on since the present mistress took charge. The reading, writing, and arithmetic especially show a marked advance compared with the work of former years, and altogether the school as represented by the Standards is in a good state of working efficiency. The Preparatory Classes are somewhat limited in tbeir instruction, but no doubt this division of the school will receive additional attention during the coming year. The stylo of the work in copy books, exercise books, and drawing books shows marked improvement, Registration- -Satisfactory. PASSES. Standard V.—Jas.
