Woodville Horticultural and Industrial Society.

The annual meeting of the above Society was held in the School-room laßt night. Present: —Messrs Taylor (chair)", Stevenson, Cross, Hawken, Motley, Fennell, Morgan, Home, Hutching, Nicholas, Hyde, Palmer, Mauisty, and Drager. The balance-sheet, whch showed a credit balance of £9 19s 9d, was read and adopted. The report for 1894-1895 showed an in rease of entries, members about the same as the year before, but a decrease in attendance, owing no doubt to the bud weather. The reportjwas read and adopted. A letter was read from Mr Haggen apologising for non-attendance.— Received. The officers and committee were re-elected except that Mr Troup's name was added to tl.e committee. The next show was fixed for tbe Wednesday nearest the full moon in February. The Secretary was authorised to advertise to the sum of £2 outside the district of Woodville. The schedule of exhibits was then revised, several alterations being made. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr Manisty for his special prize, to the Secretary for his services during the past year, to Mrs Bowden for the help she had given, to the donors of prizes, and to the chair. The meeting then adjourned.
