Waipukurau Rifle Club.

A handicap match for the MartiniHcury llifle presented by L. dol'clichet, Escp, was tired on Tuesday afternoon, at the Club's range, when 10 competitors rolled up and a very exciting contest took place. The distances were 300, 500, and GOO yards, seven shots at each range, and some good shooting was done, Mr E. G. Scott being highest scorer with 72 points, not including his handicap of 10 points, Mr de Peiicbet (scratch), following with 70 points, took the 2nd prize, 100 rounds of ammunition, the 3rd prize, it o rounds of ammunition, fell to Mr J. Gollan (7 points handicap) with a score of 01. The following arc the scores :

The hist named only fired two shots, ul the lust range. This is tile third fine this ritie has been competed for. Mr S, H. Gollan, who presented it, was tlie first winner with a total of 71 points. Again presenting it for competition Mr do Pelichet was the second winner with 77 points, and having been presented for a third match the score of E. (i. Scott won the rilio, with a creditable aggregate bf almost 7-10ths of the possible 105 with, out hie handicap points.
