PAHIATUA ATHLETIC SOCIETY.
It has been resolved to disqualify A. Francis on his own admission, and on the evidence obtained by the Society. Francis was present and admitted having run at Kaikoura. There is an impression going round that the Society is trying to save, money by not paying prizes, but this is not correct. The prizes will be paid in all cases to the qualified winning competitors in order. The Society are strongly determined to put down unfair practices.
