NOTICE is hereby given (hat an Election will be held for the return of three qualified per sons to serve us Commissioners of the Board ol Works for this City in room of those retiring, via — Me.-srs Dransfield (Te Aro Ward), Plimmor (Lambton Ward), andßorlnse (Thorndon Ward), and that the Nomination of Candidates will tako place on Monday, the sth September next, at the following places and times, and that the poll (il necessary) will be taken on the following day :- Thorndon Ward— At the Church of Englana School room, Sydney street, at 12 o'clock noon. Te Aro Ward— At the Market Hall, Cuba street, at 1 o'clock p.m. Lambton Ward — At theAthenannn, Lambton Q.uny, at 2 o'clock p m.
