Mr Andrew, to come forward aa Candi- | dates to represent you in the next Parliament, I I beg respectfully to inform you that it is my intention again to offer myself for election. Having had the honor to represont the District during six sessions of the General Assembly, I would simply refer to my political action during that period as a reason why you should continue to me the confidence which I believe I have in no way forfeited. My object has been, and will continue to bo, to support and advocate measures calculated to bonefit tho colonists of Now Zealand and tho advancement of tho District with which I have been for many years politically and socially connected. It is my intention a3 soon as possible afLor tho prorogation of the Assembly to meet you personally at the several centroa of population in the District, and I shnll then be glad to hear the reasons which have actuated the promoters of the requisition referred to in their endeavors to oust mo from Parliament in favor of comparative strangers.
