Saturday, November 23, 1867; The Court resumed its sittings, when after the usual preliminaries, on intimation being given fchat both parties bad given consent to tbe terms of tbo Commissioners, ifc was resolved on tho motion of tho Rev. John Elmslie, " That fche resignation of tbe Rev. Mr Moir bo accepted, and that the Presbytery express anew fcheir sympathy with him and bis fondly — that they now recognise him as an Emeritus member of their body, and trust tbat he may be long Bpared to render sorvico in connection wifch tho affairs of the church. That the Presbytery also recommend fcho united congregation to take immediate stops wifch a view to consolidate fche reunion that has been effected, and to obtain a successor to the Rev. Mr Moir." This was seconded and unanimously agreed to. Mr Moir then proposed the following resolution, which was agreed to " That the Presbytery in consideration of the yacancy which has taken place in the Willis street congregation, through the resignation of fcho Rev. Jolin Moir, appoint tho Rev, John Hall to take* tbe oversight of tho congregation pro tempore, and that they appoint the Roy.' Ralph J. Allswortb to preach in Willis streot Church on the forenoon of Sabbath tho 24fch inst., to intimate tho steps that have beon taken, and to declare fcho pulpit vacant." The Presbytery then, on fche motion ofthe Rev. J. Cumming, instructed that a congregational meeting should be held on Thursday, the 28th inst-., for the purpose of electing a committee of management, and transacting other business which may bo deemed requisite in tho present circumstances.
