New York, October 11. Our European advicea via Cable are dated to-day. The Garibaldi invaders of tbo papal territory were again engaged with the Pontifical troops, and, it is said, defeated. The revolutionists assert that a rising will soon take place in Home in favor of the " Party of Action." Minotti Garibaldi, son of the General, and his successor in the command of the revolutionary force operating against Rome, has been arrested by the Italian authorities. Garibaldi is held a prisoner in his own house at Gaprera. When first taken there he escaped, was recaptured, and returned under guard. He has refused to give his parole. It is reported the American Minister had interceded in behalf of Garibaldi, who was once an American citizen. A severe battle is reported to have taken place on the Turkish frontier between the Turks and Montenegrins. England remained seriously excited by the fear of another Fenian outbreak. Troops were under ordei'3 in London to march to garrison Carlisle Castle, and all tho volunteer armories in the country are to bo guarded and placed in a state of defence. In the very important state elections which have just taken place, tho republicans have carried Ohio by a very small majority, and lowa by a very large one ; but they have lost Pennsylvania.
