Waikino - War Memorial
The plan for the Waikino war memorial had been revised and a copy of the revised plan was placed before the August meeting of the Ohinemuri -County Council for its approval. The estimated cost, not including labour and re-using materitl from the present building, was £I9OO. “I think the council should help them,” said the chairman, Mr T. A. Barrett. A resolution was passed that the council assist the settlers in their proposal.
