SAWMILL FOR WAIHI?
NEW INDUSTRY IN BOROUGH APPLICATION TO COUNCIL Application for permission to erect a sawmill on the old Central Hotel site adjoining the municipal baths was made by Messrs Buchanan Brothers, sawmillers, in a' letter to the Waihi' Borough Council at its monthly meeting last Wednesday evening.
The deputy-Mayor, Mr S, M. Hovell, said any new industry in the town should be encouraged. The matter was referred to the Works Committee.
