INTENT TO MISLEAD

SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS COUIPON BOOK “FAKED” 'Breaches of the Social Security Act in that he defaulted in the payment of quarterly instalments due in November and May, and extracted coupons from his coupon book for the period from November, 1941, to August, 1942, for the purpose of misleading administrative officers were alleged against Jack Moses, otherwise known as Ringa Iriata, of Mataora Bay, when he was charged in the Waihi Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. Defendant did not appear. The registrar of Social Security at Paeroa, Mr G. L. Ching, stated that defendant, who was already in receipt of a family allowance, had made application for further assistance, and if was then that he had removed from his coupon book certain coupons for which there was no acknowledgment on the butts of payment of instalments having been made.
