FRIENDLY SOCIETIES’ ANNUAL TOURNAMENT WIN FOR DRUIDS Beautiful weather accompanied the bowling games during the weekend when the Friendly Societies engaged in their annual tournament on She Waihi club’s green. The vicepresident, Mr Sid. Thompson, extended a cordial welcome to the societies on behalf of the club. They would find, he said, the green in first-class order, and he looked forward to many of them taking up the game as a regular pastime next year. The ladies, in their capable and efficient style, provided afternoon tea for all present.
