WAIHI COMPANY’S PROGRESS

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
The following information bearing on the latest mine developments has been cabled to the London office of the Waihi Gold Mining Company:— No. 2 Level —A crosscut north-west was commenced at 280 ft. west on the Surprise lode and at 7Sft the Marthalode was intersected, the width being 20ft and the assay value 9/9 per ton. At 116 ft. there is a quartz vein Ift wide, the assay value being 18/6 per ton. No. 3 Level—frorth branch of the Martha lode: Driving in the west face has been resumed.
No. 4 Level —North branch of the Martha lode: Driving eastward the next 21ft is ore of good grade, the width being about 2Jft. Driving westward the next 7ft is also of good grade, the width being about 2Jft.
No. 5 Level—Vein situated at 103 ft. in in the north crosscut: We are now crosscutting at 107 ft. west. No. 12 Level —Royal lode: Driving west the next 35ft. assays 26/- per ton.
