CURE BY SERUM FROM CONVALESCENTS MEDICAL DISCOVERY Australian an(r N.Z. Cable. LONDON, August 3. Dr. Ronald Hare, of the Research Department at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, writing in the Lancet, describes a cure of a woman suffering from influenzal pneumonia. When she was ia a dying state injections were made with a serum taken from convalescent patients, and this resulted in her complete recovery. ,
Dr. Hare says in the absence of any method of making the anti-serum artificially the employment of convalescent esrum in influenzal pneumonia merits further trial.
