Haszard, reports on weather conditions in Waihi during March month as follows: — Barometer: Man pressure for month, reduced to sea level, 30.023 inches: highest reading, 30.421 inches on 11th; lowest reading, 29.658 inches on 12th; range, 0.763 inches.
Temperature: Mean temperature for month in screen, 63. G deg. Fall.; highest maximum, 81.1 deg. Fab. on 19th; lowest minimum, 42.9 deg. Fah. on 23rd; lowest grass minimum, 36 deg. Fah. on 23rd; mean temperature of earth 2 feet down, 66.5 deg. Fah. Wind; Total for month, 1969 miles; daily average, 63 miles: greatest run in 24 hours, 178 miles on 12th. Sunshine; Total hours of bright sunshine, 194.5; daily average, 6.3 hours on 2nd; sunless days, 2. Rain; Total rainfall, 7.00 inches; greatest fall in 24 hours, 2.17 inches on 12th; days on which rain fell, 9. REMARKS: Temperatures have been the highest recorded for this month for the last four years. The rainfall has, for the fourth month in succession, been above the average. The total fall for the three months of this year has been 25.35 inches.
