Enemy gun positions, fortifications, trenches, troops on the move and dispositions, it is claimed, will jje seen by the General Staff as clearly as if they were watching them with the naked eye. It is believed that several great Powers are interested in the development of the apparatus, which is the invention of C. Through use of his radio eye o the sky Jenkins claims that artillery officers will be able to sit before a screen and see exactly where their shells land. Staffs will no longer have to rely on the telephone and telegraph —they will be enabled to see for themselves how a battery is progressing, and make their plans accordingly. , The invention is operated by means of a photographic lense focused on the ground through an opening in the bottom of the Plane. present its range is estimated to be 10 miles, but it is hoped that this will be greatly extended in the near future. -
