WOMEN’S DRESS ATTACKED
ARCHBISHOP KELLY ISSUES INJUNCTION LONGER SKIRTS ORDERED Australian and N. 7. Cable. , SYDNEY, September 9. Drastic reforms 5u girls’ and women’s dress are suggested by Archbishop Kelly in a circular distributed at all the Roman Catholic churches. The injunction applies to girls from the age of four years, and the circular orders that dresses be inches longer and sleeves’ be worn. Bathing costumes are to be lengthened and wraps worn. No bathers are to have photographs taken in costumes. Flesh coloured stockings are not to be worn and “V” necks are never to be worn.
