The Second Regiment Band, Timaru, has returned from the B&llarat Ecsteddfodd, where it competed in the A grade contest, being the only New Zealand band present. It took first place in the sight-readinß test and night quick step. E. Scknack was second in the soprano solo. H. Osborne was second-in the B flat cornet. Ihe band held second place in the sextette, and was first in the trombone trio.
