ENJOYABLE MEETING

The "Waihi Literacy and Debating Society hold a most successful and enjoyable, meeting .last night in 81. JamesV> Hall. The proceedings were presided over by tho viee-pro.skleiut, Mr. 11. T. Gibson. They consisted of selection;; by Mr Pike's orchestra, songs by Miss Hetth, Miss Pike, and Mr Pike, a recitation by Miss Lucas entitled "Oh!'' and a. nwt interesting c|cba<tc on tho subject "That there aiy> fewer opportunities to rise in life to-day than there were. 20 years ago."
