AVitneisses representing the federated unions gave evidence at Adelaide recently before tho Commonwealth commission on tho b;y;ie wage, and submitted a.s estimate of the cost of cJothes and boots for the working man for one year. The list totalled £sl 3s. It included three made to order suits, with extra trousers, two hats and a cap, nine pairs of socks, four ties, two pairs of braces, a bathing costume, mine shirts, throe singlets, three pair..; of boots, rubber soled shoes, slippers and goloshes.
