, Mr Stanley Vaile, of Mauiigakaa-a.-lnea, Whangarei, had an unfortunate ' cxpeiw|.ice recently. He was presumed >;o have gone shooting on Friday, ana no anxiety was experienced when he did not return tin Saturday, it being thought tliat he might be staying with friends. On Sunday the discovery that he was missing led ,to a search, Mr. Vaile being eventually located, in a dazed condition., with a sprained ankle. It appears that he had a tussle with a goat arid felfl. ovier a big landslip, where he had lain for tiWo days and nights. The search party improvised a stretcher, and Mr Vaile was eventually brought on-to Whangarci for medical attention aud treatment.
