BURGLARIES AT THAMES
FIVE PLACES ENTERED SMALL HAUL OF SILVER AND STAMPS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) THAMES, this day. Five business peaces were entered and ransacked by burglars on Wednesday night, the thieves getting vcity little silver. Stamps oi : the value of Lis were, taken. (Special to the Daily Telegraph ) THAMES, this day. Among the places entered by the burglars were the oihecs of Lamb’s timber mill, Judd's foundry, McLennan’* gar age, and the Star office. A good deal of wilful damage was done at all oi these places in .search of valuables. At the Star office a ,oil-ton desk- was badly knocked about in forcing it open, and papers were strewn everywhere in confusion. At Judd's the confusion an 1 , damage was still worse.
