INFLUENZA ON MANUKA
ALL MILD CASES. VESSEL QUARANTINED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this flay. The Manuka was' inspected this morning by tho hcajlth officer, who announced that the sickness was a mild form ol influenza. S'ince the vessel le,:t Sydney twenty-five cases occurred. It was decided to quarantine the Manuka, which will land the invalids at Motuilu. Tho remaining passengers will not he allowed to join the Niagara, neither will the passengers nor mails be landed until all danger of infection i ; s pvtst. Arrangements are being made for .shore accommodation if the removal of the remainder of the passengers h necessary. There is no cause for anx'icty. It is expected that all the cases will recover in a day or two.
