RETURNS OF VARIOUS BOOTHS THE MAYORALTY The voting in connection with the Mayoral election on "Wednesday last at the various booths was as follows

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Labour secured four seats on the City Council and one on the Harbour Board. The Rev. Van Stavercn, Jewish rabbi, topped the poll easily for the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. NAPIER MAYORAL ELECTION. MISTAKE DISCOVERED. GREAT INTEREST IN RECOUNT. (Telegraph.—Pres- 1 Association.) NAPIER, this day. A mistake has been discovered .in the Mayoral polling which lias left Air V. Brown, M.P., with a majority ol throe. There are persistent rumours of other mistakes, and the result of the recount is awaited with much interest.
