Mr Braiisconibc s “Dandies" comprise English and American artists, who have received very favourable criticism in ail parts of Australasia. Of the company an exchange says:—“The return of Mr Edward Branscombc’s clever company, “The Dandies,” was responsible for an overflowing attendance at the theatre last evening. In song, jest, and. dance they hold the stage to the great enjoyment of the large audience for just over two hours, and the general verdict at the conclusion of the bright slum was that these clover entertainers ex cel in the art of entertaining. There were no dull moments. All was gay and bright, and the brilliance of the performance proved a delightful fonie to all." While comedy is a prominent feature Til the programme' of “The Dandies,’’ room is ifound for the inclusion of several excellent musical numbers, amongst these being solce.vons from well-known operas. It is a condition that every Dandy must be a singer of more than average merit, and by the enforcement of this rule the company arc enabled to present many striking numbers not within the range or scope of similar organisations. The plan opens at Walters’ to-morrow morning.
