Escape of a Prisoner

Archibald McNeil, the first prisoner confined ,in the habitual criminal wing of the gaol set apart for thai- purpose, was there by himself for eight months, and suffered so much from solitary confinement that be begged to be allowed out, and was put on a farm at Bell Block. He took advantage of this to escape and commit further offences, and a warrant is now out for him.
