The Government has approved the question of appointing lawyers as King's Counsel for the colony, and regulations conneotod therewith will shortly bo gazetted, Tho Obief Justice must oonour in all the appointmonk It ut provided that except when acting for Ibo Grown His Majesty's couriEol shall not nppou' in the Supremo Court or Court of Appeal, uiilmb a junior from outside his own office apprars with him, nor in an; inferior Court unless npon special retainer and a foe of at least ten guineas, The foe for a patent is fivo guinoas with a lioome fee of one guinea to appear against the Crown inaoaso in whioh His Majesty's counsel is dispensed With.
