GENERAL ASSEMBLY. s . (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, 'Nov. 19. ' The report of the Fire Insurance fund of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand presented to the General Assembly to-day shows that on August 18th 1920, Insurance were in force amounting to £366,946. These were distributed over 331 churches, 172 manses, 95 schoolrooms, , and other buildings, the pro perty of 260 congregations and organisations. The levies unpaid aft that date amounted to .£69 16s 2d, The amount to the credit of the fund was £4516, an Increase of £759 for the year. No cldim for financial loss had matured during the financial year. Referring to the loss of St.' Andrew’s Church, the report said that of £6900 insurance, £4OO, was held by the church fund, the balance having been reinsured, A recommendation was made that in view of the greatly increased cost of replacement all deacons, courts, and committees qf management be directed to see that ..their properties are adequately protected by insurances, and the church fund is commended to favourable consideration. The report was adopted.
