A romance of the Pacific, of which Mischel Cherniavsky was the hero, has been brought ,to light by the arrival in London pf the famous 'cellist and hia bride. Mischel’e playing at Suva so enrap-, tured Mies Mary Rogers, daughter of a Fiji "sugar millionaire, that she at. tended ten consecutive performances before being introduced.. It was hj case of love' at first sight, but the pair decided to test the depth pf their affection by not seeing each other for a year. Mischel Cherniavgky went to Australia, where he stayed for a long time. Later he returned to Yancouver and met his bride.
