SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, Nov. 1. The third series of wool sales opened. For good and super-greasy merinos there was a strong demand at late rates, and they sold to thirty pence. Tender sorts were twopence to threepence weaker, while poor sorts scoured were neglected and largely passed. STOCK SALES. Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., report as under:— At our Wanganui yards on' 27th ult. we yarded 600 head cattle and several pens sheep. For -grown cattle there was a keen demand, but younger sorts were harder to quit. We quote:—Aged bullocks £l3 10/- to £ls 4/-; 3-year fresh bullocks £lO 10/- to £l2 4/-; rough do. £8 51- ; prime cows £ls 5/- ; others £lO to £ll 10/-; good store cows £9 10/-; lighter do. £7 11/- to £3 51- ; 2-year heifers ,£6 5/-; bulls £8 15/- to £10: mixed hoggets 25/2; s fat woolly wethers 39/1; fat shorn ewes (good) 30/-; best-porkers £3 19/to £4 12/6; small do; £3 3/-; good : stores £2 7/- to £2 12/-; small, do. 26/-; vealers £1 7/- to £4 12/6. At_ Waverley sale on 29th ult. a small yarding came forward. Quotations Store cows, £8 14/-; yearling heifers £5; springing heifers £l4 to £l6; bulls £5 10/- to £lO. . ; , POULTRY AND PRODUCE.
