BIG MOTOR DEAL. AN ACQUISITION TO WANGANUI SERVICES. With his accustomed enterprise Mr J. Hodson has just completed a big motor deal, he having just purchased for the Wanganui-Marton run, as well as for local service, one of the latest Cadillac motor service cars, and, as an indication of the power of the car it may be mentioned that a full load was brought from Marton this morning in less than ten minutes under the hour, without travelling at excess speed. Passengers mentioned that it was the nicest and most enjoyable ride they had had in from Marton, the run being completely free from jolting. The engine is an eight cylinder 60 horse power, and is fitted with complete electric equipment and as an expert said when seeing the car running to Castlecliff with over 20 on board, she is “out on her own.” The car will probably be engaged on the through Castlediff service until the trams are running again, and it will no doubt ho thoroughly appreciated by beach dwellers. A whole wedding party-, football team, etc., can with this new acquisition of Mr Hudson's ha conveyed in the one car, and will assuredly he taken fall advantage of. Mr Hodson deserves to be congratu' lated for this hew evidence of his great enterprise in biasing the trail in the local motor car world.
