THE LEAGUE ISSUE. NEW YOKE, July 23. The New York Times’ Washington correspondent states: It is expected that Mr Harding (Republican candidate for the United States Presidency), if elected, will call an extra session of Congress immediately to put the country on a peace basis according to the interpretation put upon his speech when accepting nomination. This is considered a repudiation of the Lodge faction, which advocated a League of Nations hit* reservation* adopted by the Senate.
