THE ANFU DEBACLE. PEKIN, July 23. The Anfu cause has collapsed. Its news agencies and newspapers are liquidating. Many of its leaders have sought refuge in the homes of foreign friends. The debacle is complete. The exPresident (Chin Yung Seng) is at present in Tientsin with a view of settling peace terms. Tuan Chi Jui, overcome with despondency, attempted suicide, but bodyguards prevented him carrying out his intention.
