Mr L. Blundell, of the Evening Post proprietary is at present on a visit to Wanganui. Mr Edmund C. Howard, veterinarian bf. Wellington, has been transferred to V anganoi. Tbe members of the office staff and in-tractors connected with the Wanganui Education Board made a presentation of a pair of binoculars and a set of gold engraved sleevelinks to .Mr Fred Pirani yesterday on the <.ctk ion of his retirement from the position of chairman of the Board. Eulogistic speeches were made by all the. male members, and one of the ladies on the staff made a neat speech on behalf of the seven employed in the Board s office. All the speeches expressed gratitude. appreciation, and affectionate jecollections of the consideration, cm couragement. courtesy, and kindly help elwavs extended to them.
