ATESTMERE CO-OP. COMPANY. The annual report of the Westmcre Cooperative Dairy Company shows that the latest output of cheese was 230 tons, an increase of tons over the previous year. Of 3173 crates graded, only 10 were classed as seconds, the rest being all first grade, and the manager is to be complimented on his continued success. The cost of manufacture show a slight increase from 1.3d to 1.23 d. The total cost of the additions to the factory and plant as carried out during the year was .£1298 12s lOd. The overdraft account had been reduced by £7ll 12s 7d. The directors recommend that the balance of £4758 4s Id to the credit of the appropriation account be dealt with as follows ;—£2170 19s 6d as an immediate distribution, making up Is lOfd per lb on butter fat; £2379 7s 2d as a final payment, making up 2s per lb when funds are available; £207 17s 5d to be carried forward. The balance sheet showed that the amount received through cream cheese sales aggregated £22,495 17s 4d; whey cream sales, £894 13s Id; and whole cream sales, £54 10s 7d. There was also a stock of cheese in hand valued at £25 ss.
