Received January %0, 2.30 p.m. NEW YORK, January 29. The number of influenza cases reported in New York since the Ist January total 19.763. The number reported yesterday was 5589, which surpasses the highest single day total in 1918. The epidemic health officers report that the present influenza is of a milder form than that of 1918.
