HAMILTON, January 29.

'The weather is splendid for the Hamilton Regatta and Carnival, and there is a. big- crowd in attendance. The Wanganui Union Club’s crews won the maiden double sculls and the maiden fours.

The first prize in the maiden double sculls was £4, and in the maiden fours i-8. The Union Club’s representatives in the former event were G. Howatsen (stroke) and N. Smith (bow); and in the maiden fours, L. Garner (bow), H. Springer (3), W. Euscoe (3), F. Smith (stroke). '
