The inter-Allied naval mission landed at Wilhelmshaven to inspect the Getman ports and ascertain how the naval terms of the Peace Treaty are being fulfilled. The mission had previously inspected Heligoland. Admiral Charlton firmly pointed out that the Treaty must be literally carried out. Eight battleships were found to be in a deplorable condition.
