PRISONERS SENTENCED

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 27

Prisoners were sentenced by Sir W. B. Edwards to-day as follows; Louis Harold Gill, for forgery at Nelson, to twelve months’ probation; Alfred Ireson, alias Harper, for theft at Taihape, to twelve mouths’ hard labour and three years’ reformative treatment; Joseph Wilson and James Boyce, for breaking and entering and theft at Palmerston North, to three years’ reformative treatment; John Alfred Shirley, for theft at Wanganui, to two years’ reformative treatment; Arthur for theft ai- Pahiatua, oue year hard labour, and three years’ reformative treatment; Ernest Nicholls, for forgery and uttering at Wellington, one year hard labour and to be declared an habitual criminaL
