Playing Victoria, New South Wales in the first inings made,s21 —Andrews (not out) 247, llatcliffe 21. Bowling analysis: Carlton 3 for 140, Armstrong I for 83, Ryder 2 for 92, Shea 2 for 105, Park 1 for 17. Andrews gave an excellent display of forceful, safe cricket throughout his innings. He batted for 299 minutes.

Victoria has lost one wicket for 62 Mayne (not out) 40, Ransford (notout) 22. Rain stopped play.
