' Most of the local rowing bodies will be sending their representatives down to Hamilton, most of them will send a crew or two or Ngaruawahia and to Mercer, and surely every one is ambitious to see its crew first to cross the line on the Wanganui, and earn New Zealand championship honours. But the seniors do not spend all their time at the club in training for the Big Thing. They have enough minutes and to spare to drop a hint to the juniors who will be seniors some day, but if they run for a season or two lacking both a persistent, sincere and experienced coach, and at the same time swinging to faulty styles,in the absence of a friendly tip to indicate their failings, what hppes have they for the .jtears to come?— Auckland Star.
