WHEAT GROWING IN N.Z.
CONFERENCE OF FLOURMILLERS. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 21. A conference of flourmillers met here to-day to discuss arrangements regarding wheat, flour, bran, and pollard- for the next year. The chairman/Mr Milligan, stated that the system of Government control and price-fixing .would be continued. A motion was carried that the meeting is strongly of Opinion that the Government should encourage the growing of sufficient wheat in the Dominion for the country’s requirements, thus obviating the necessity for large importations. .
